The strong tag corresponds to the bolding of a mexico whatsapp word or a group of words. It has two uses:

In SEO, it allows robots to better understand a text
In marketing, it allows you to highlight certain words in the text to make it easier to read quickly.

How do you make text bold on the internet?
If you're using a CMS like WordPress, it's very easy to make text bold. You can:

Highlight your text and click directly on the B button (in the classic editor, in the Gutenberg editor and even in Elementor)

In the Gutenberg editor
Write your text in Word or Doc , put the words in bold on this document and copy-paste your text into WordPress , the formatting will be preserved (as will italicized text, hyperlinks, heading levels or underlining)
Use the keyboard shortcut after highlighting your sentence: CMD + B on Mac or CTRL + B on PC
Using HTML code: Content between the strong tag will be displayed in bold. Example: she is <strong>beautiful and tall</strong> (beautiful and tall is displayed in bold by default when using the opening tag <strong> and the closing tag </strong> in the text part of WordPress).

What are the differences between the b tag and the strong tag?
Previously, the <b> tag was used instead of <strong> to display bold text.

The two tags don't have exactly the same purpose if we want to quibble, but today, both work in the same way.

You will be recommended to use the strong tag instead , but both will be interpreted the same way by Google robots. So there is no difference in terms of SEO.

What is the real weight of the strong tag in natural referencing?
In his book SEO in 500 questions , Olivier Andrieu returns to questions that he is often asked about natural referencing.

For the strong tag, he explains that in comparison, "a word in bold will have an intermediate weight, between that of an h6 tag (stronger) and that of a classic text (less strong)" .

So, the strong tag does not have a huge weight at the SEO level but it is still interesting to use it to make it easier for Internet users to read and to highlight keywords and their synonyms.

Best practices for bolding
Use bold sparingly (avoid over-optimization ). When proofreading texts from writers I work with, I still sometimes see entire paragraphs bolded.

Then it loses all its interest.

Bold should highlight keywords and their semantic field and attract the visitor's eye . If an entire paragraph is bold, it no longer works.

Avoid systematically putting your keyword in bold. This can be seen as manipulation to move up in the search results and it could have the opposite effect!
