Updated guidelines for search ranking systems

Post by samiaseo75 »

We could see a similar change in Google's Guide to Search Ranking Systems, where the same sentence about "automatic protection" was removed entirely. And perhaps because it was redundant.

A detailed description was added to the last sentence, which would trigger a downgrade of removal from Google search results .

Another reason for downgrading is websites business owner data experiencing high rates of "non-consensual explicit image removal" requests.

The updated section, with the section about “automatic systems” removed, now reads as follows:

“Personal data removal: If we process a high volume of personal data removals related to websites with exploitative removal practices, we will demote other content from the site in our search results. In addition, we also investigate whether the same pattern of behavior is occurring with other sites. If so, we will apply demotions to the content on those sites. We may apply similar demotions to sites that receive a high volume of doxxing content removals or involuntary explicit image removals.”
