Ivory Coast-AIP/ The government launches a training program for 1,000 young people in digital professions

Abidjan, August 9, 2023 (AIP) - The Minister of Youth Promotion, Professional Integration and Civic Service, Mamadou Touré, and his colleague from Communication and Digital Economy, Amadou Coulibaly, launched a training program for 1,000 young Ivorians in digital professions on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, in Abidjan Plateau.

Mamadou Touré explained that this program aims to strengthen the skills, employability and entrepreneurship of young people (aged 18 to 40) in the fields of electronic maintenance, digital marketing, cybersecurity analysis and metaverse developer analysis.

The general director of African azerbaijan mobile database academy, Dramé Mamadou, specified that this completely free training will be provided by his organization and will take place in two phases over a period of six months (September 5, 2023 – March 31, 2024) in the cities of Abidjan, Bouaké, Yamoussoukro, Daloa and Korhogo.

The first phase will consist of practical training on digital citizenship and the second will allow the beneficiaries to be placed within companies so that they can gain practical and technical experience.

Minister Amadou Coulibaly urged young people to seize this opportunity to train and learn more. "We have confidence in your ability to shape a better future for yourselves and for our country," he said.

This initiative is part of the Government's Youth Program (PJ gouv 2023-2025) implemented by the Youth Employment Agency (AEJ). Registration will take place from Tuesday, August 8 to Wednesday, August 23, 2023, on the AEJ website or at its regional offices.
