Web Stories in classic Google Search

The single-sheet display for Web Stories requires a real optimization effort: there is only one place, it should go to you!


Web Stories will soon be available in classic Google searches, and this is what will be the biggest game changer in terms of SEO.

As with Discover, there are two display modes for Web Stories on Google Search:

First of all, the Grid mode allows the user to choose their Story from 4 Web Stories , spread over a 2x2 grid. This grid will be displayed at the very top of the SERP, in position 0. For the moment, this display is turkey telegram data being tested in the US only, but Google has already announced that it wants to expand this display mode to all possible regions.

Still in Google search and in position 0, Google's unique Web Stories result is located at the top of the SERP. This is a slightly different display from the others, since it looks more like a Rich Snippet: you can see an image, the title of the page and the meta description of the corresponding page. Only the icon at the bottom right of the image lets you know that it is a Web Story .
Already available worldwide, this display mode suggests that Google is really trying to impose its Web Stories to the point of blending them into the crowd, without being easily recognizable.
