Don't lose track

Post by najmusseoex »

Also, anything you change in the sidebar.php file of your old theme will be overwritten. So make sure you add those codes in the sidebar of your new theme.

Most bloggers use some form of analytics whether it be Google bahamas whatsapp data Analytics or one of the other services. Many do not use a plugin to add the tracking code. Some of us open the footer.php file and edit the code. Some of our themes have a place to put the adsense code. Regardless of which is your case, you want to make sure that you copy and paste the tracking code into the new theme. This is one of the things that is often overlooked by users.

Backup!!!

You will never lose your documents if you create a backup. As a precaution, you should backup all your theme files, plugins, and database. Although you don’t want to do that, it’s better to be safe than sorry. You can use BackupBuddy to create a full backup of your website.

Maintenance mode

You probably don’t want your users to see you while you’re switching themes because they’ll end up seeing a broken site or something. It’s best to leave Maintenance mode on for 15-20 minutes to make sure everything is working properly. Once you’ve set up maintenance mode, you can go ahead and switch and activate the new theme.
