Because the number of possible private keys is so astronomically large, it's computationally impossible for anyone to generate, store, or "brute-force" (guess) all of them.
Even if all the computers on Earth were to endlessly generate and check private keys, it would take an unfathomably long time—billions of times the age of the universe—to even scratch the surface of the possible key space.
