Retargeting works by using browsing "cookies" that are stored on a visitor's browser.
By installing a JavaScript code in the footer of your website, you can place one of these cookies that is stored on the browsers of your website visitors. These cookies contain unique identification information, allowing you to target your visitors with ads, even when they are browsing other websites!

Explanation of the different steps of retargeting:
Start by setting up a piece of JavaScript code, which will place a tracking nigeria phone number list cookie in your visitors' browser storage. Browser cookies (or HTTP cookies) are actually small pieces of data that allow websites to "remember" certain information about a user as they browse the web.

If you've set up retargeting ads on a platform like AdRoll (which shows ads on many networks, including sites running AdSense), the networks will identify your users with cookies when they visit other websites and the platform will serve them ads based on the logic and frequency you've set up on your ad platform.
