Filter email registrations for entries

Check the feedback loop.
Most major ISPs offer feedback loops where email senders can get information from recipients who have complained about that sender's emails. These are called complaint feedback loops or FBLs.

Yahoo, AOL, and Microsoft make it easy for you to get this information. Gmail allows users to set feedback loop headers that don't use the traditional ARF format used by most FBLs.

Only ESPs (email service providers) are allowed to join Gmail's FBL program.

6. Stick to a consistent sending schedule.
One of the reasons for low sender scores and IP rejections is random and erratic broadcast activity. If you are not sending emails regularly, this can cause spikes in sending. Do your best to stick to a consistent email sending schedule.

7. Use double opt-in or confirmed opt-in.
The most popular form of opt-in is single opt-in, where users simply check a box or tick a pre-checked box to agree to receive emails. This can seem like a great strategy for collecting email addresses because it's so easy and automatic. However, it can backfire by generating a large number of spam complaints. Spam complaints are dangerous. Some ISPs start blocking sending servers after receiving two or three spam reports for every thousand emails.

The best defense against spam complaints is to use double opt-in. All you have to do is send a confirmation email to new subscribers asking them to verify their address and get their consent. (Double opt-in is now mandatory in some European countries.)

8. Clear your list.
If you send marketing emails to users who don't exist, you'll increase your bounce rate and destroy your sending credibility. From time to time, remove all inactive recipients from your list, filtering out all users who haven't opened or clicked on your emails in a few months.

A high hard bounce (invalid) rate is the quickest way to trigger IP filtering and blocking. You may want to use a paid service to clear out all hard bounces before launching a new email marketing campaign.

Additionally, most email verification services can catch duplications, spelling errors, outdated domains, records ig database of not sending emails, fake addresses, and other common user errors.

You have nothing to lose by cutting unnecessary burdens from your list.

The worst email lists are those created through giveaways or signups. People, by nature, will try to enter multiple times with invalid or non-existent email addresses. They don’t care about being on your email address list; they care about your email address. They care about the chance to win a free iPad mini.

If you use contests or giveaways as a method of gaining email subscribers, then you need to vet this list thoroughly before dumping it into your subscriber list. It could be a source of hard bounces, which could land you on a bad IP list.
