Tom Klose examines the connection between digitalization and sustainability. Digitalization is just as unenvironmentally and climate-unfriendly as industrialization was. It only looks “clean” at first glance.

Children toil under terrible conditions in African mines to produce the materials that we use in the components of our smartphones, and the energy consumption of the devices is enormous.

Streaming is a really bad energy guzzler. Netflix, Amazon and facebook data others together consume as much energy as Chile. A third of this consumption is caused by porn services.

Then it's over again - the BarCamp RheinMain 2019. The next camp will be in a year. The location is not yet known.

Until then, we can still see each other in January at the Innovation Culture Camp in Mainz and in April at the Social Media Marketing Camp in Wiesbaden.

And maybe there will be another Behavioural Design Camp in August ?
