Power BI is a powerful tool that allows you to add various data visualizations to make reports more informative and engaging.

One of these features, which I will teach step by step in this class, is the possibility of adding an image carousel directly to the reports panel, allowing the interactive display of information.

You will learn how to configure the image carousel in Power BI to take your reports to the next level!

Custom Charts in Power BI
In Power BI, we have native charts and visuals, as well as custom visuals that can be downloaded, expanding the available functionalities.

Most of these custom visuals are free! All you need is a free Power BI account and access to Get more visuals .

Doing so will open AppSource , and within that tab you will find several custom visuals ready to install and apply to your dashboards.

However, for the visual we will use in this class, you will not need to create an account or make additional downloads, as it is already available in the class material. Just download it and use it.

It's important to remember that custom visuals in Power BI will only be available for use in that specific file in which you downloaded them.

Purpose of the Image Carousel
Image carousels can make your reports more dynamic and interactive, helping to highlight important information in a visual and engaging way.

It's especially useful for displaying a series of images, such as product photos, data samples, or screenshots that complement the metrics you're presenting.

However, the carousel is only used to display images and does not function as a button or direct interaction within the report.

Creating Direct Links to Images
In the material available for download, you will find the images that we will use in our sales report example.

To use these images in Power BI, you need to host them on some online image storage site and get the direct links.

There are several options, such as Google Drive, ImgBB , OneDrive, Post Images , among other services like these.

I usually use ImgBB, but in this lesson I will demonstrate how to use Post Images. Simply upload all of your images to the site at once.
