It was inspiring to see how everything can be purchased online in China, but of course, it's already part of the culture there, whereas it isn't in Costa Rica. So, developing a new style of shopping and interacting was a real challenge. Introducing this new way of purchasing goods into my country's culture, which is perhaps still a bit more conservative, is more complicated because there's still a distrust of online shopping. In any case, I think that with the way we've implemented INNOmuebles , we've managed to dispel many myths.

Another challenge is that Costa Rica is a very bureaucratic country. So, it's not so easy to develop a business. But starting online is much cheaper than renting a space. We started quite small, in my parents' living room, with a printer and thousands of invoices. Fortunately, the "Tico," as we call Costa Ricans, has adapted very well to the online way of shopping.

Our initial investment was a bed container and the development of a website, which was initially very basic. We also had a very small warehouse with colombia mobile database stacked boxes. We imported and created a distribution network, and we had to learn how to manage logistics to be able to distribute to the rest of the country.

Why did you decide to study the Master in Digital Marketing & E-Commerce with us ?
I believe that constant professional and academic development is very important. Even if one graduated some time ago, it's essential to stay abreast of technological and digital trends and how commerce is being managed today. It's important to know, from a commercial perspective, what's trending right now. And those who stay on top of trends are the ones who succeed.

Furthermore, one of the main advantages of specializing in digital marketing is that it has allowed me to save the company a lot of money. I don't have to rely on external companies to do what I can currently do, such as creating strategies, setting goals, analyzing metrics that I can see in real time, etc. I decide what needs to be corrected, what needs to be planned, and what we can improve, and that gives me a lot of autonomy.

How has what you've learned helped you manage your business?
I'm very happy because I've seen a good ROI (return of investment) in operations and have been able to apply what I've learned to various strategies. It's also helped me manage everything in a much more organized way. For example, how to run campaigns, how to plan them, how to analyze metrics—that's incredibly important. Also, how we can customize certain campaigns. For me, that's very important because I wanted to take our marketing to the next level, and with what I've learned, I was able to achieve that.

What I liked most was the e-commerce part and seeing all the possibilities of this sector in which I work, but I also found the usability part super useful, and the creativity part revealed skills in me that I didn't know I had, such as design.

I found it very interesting to give myself the autonomy and freedom to manage my time and manage it based on my needs. Being able to choose when and how much I want to study at any given time is very important to me. It's even allowed me to manage my stress on workdays. Being able to rest when I get home and then read what I have to do and do the practical exercises.
