The client came with the simple demand of improving the position and increasing the overall traffic.
After we conducted the audit we found that the website itself had huge potential in terms of quality, because it had good content, thousands of products with detailed information about regions where particular wine was created, producers, and many more.
However, Vinoteka was losing too many keywords and traffic to other competitors in the region.

Our hypothesis and SEO plan
When the audit was done, we saw that the site had some technical issues and SEO settings were not applied properly.
Another challenge was the weak backlink profile, which led to the low domain rating. So we had to include backlink strategies in our approach.
The last thing to focus on was the content gap since some potential keywords with high volume and low competition were missing at all. The main reason was that the client didn’t have such topics covered.
Finally, our approach for the project consisted of three main steps:
Dealing with technical issues in order to improve the indexation and overall health of the website;
Building up a better backlink profile in order to improve the domain rating;
Creating content in order to target missing keywords.
